RETURNS AND REFUNDS

We want all of our customers to have a pleasing buying experience with I Am Melanin Magic. As a small company, we do our best to exceed your expectation through each stage of the buying process. All customers have 14 days from the date of receiving an order to return their parcel for any reason. Contact us via email with your name and order number, as well as any pertinent information, and we’ll be happy to offer you a refund. Customers will assume the cost for the return of an item(s). This policy is mentioned in the email that confirms your order, along with other pertinent order information. We do reserve the right to pay shipping costs for returns in discretionary situations. You will receive a return label in your email to use for shipping. This is a convenience that we provide to make your return hassle-free.

As soon as we receive your return, we will process your refund as soon as we have had an opportunity to survey and inspect your return. Allow 2 weeks from our receipt of your product. You will receive an automated email once your refund has been processed to your original payment, minus any fees. Processing fees from SquareSpace and other third party vendors are not refunded.

Please return your items in their original packaging, if possible. The shipping cost is configured and estimated based on your original packaging. Allow up to two weeks for processing all refunds from the time we receive your returned item(s). As soon as a return label is generated, you will receive an automated email. Please print the return label and take your package to the USPS ( United States Postal Service). It is a good idea to keep up with your tracking number so that you will know when your package is in receipt. All unused products must be returned in their original bottling and packaging in order to receive a refund. Damaged items will be deducted from your refund. If items appear to be tampered with or items are missing parts, etc. you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.

All orders where shipping to or from exceeds $15.00 will have the additional shipping fees deducted from the refund. In the rare case that an entire order ( any order exceeding 4 items from different parts/categories of our store) is returned, all shipping fees (in both directions) will be charged to the consumer, except in rare circumstances—at the discretion of I Am Melanin Magic.

International orders have a different return policy. Generally, orders over $150 will require the purchaser to assume the cost of the return. For orders under this amount, IAMM will assume 50% of the costs associated with returning items, with a valid reason. Please contact IAMM in these situations.
