The year 2023 marked the first year we shared our traditional Somali Uunsi recipe with the rest of the world. This particular recipe has been in our family for over 15 years by way of intermarrying. Through Tunisia Ali, I Am Melanin Magic’s Uunsi is a fusion of the creative expression of aromatics present in many Eastern and African cultures. This synthesis is combined with the genius inventiveness and originality of what of Mrs. Ali’s talents are. Her knowledge as a herbalist, aromatherapist and healing conduit, influences each flavor and has produced the I Am Melanin Magic brand of fragrance rocks.
